Israel should exist because God gave them the land. The survey plot is well-defined in the Bible! And He said He will bless those who bless Israel, and curse those who curse Israel. Tough decision for some in elected office... because of their unbelief.
I fully agree with Janet, Yes, they are the God's people, though they rejected their savior He is still waiting for them. The Psalmist is very clear here: Lord will bless them those who bless Isreal.
